GUAYUSA POWDER - OUR NEW "PURE-POWDER" VARIETY

We launched three new varieties this year: Guayusa coffee, Guayusa lemongrass and now also a Guayusa powder . The PURE powder is not a new variety, but it is now available as a powder, so it is more natural, new and special!

We wanted to create a suitable powder for all mocha, filter and fully automatic fans that makes it easier to use. We at GUYA really like using the mocha in the office, for example. The guayusa becomes very strong and then tastes great with oat milk!

As with all three new products, this is also the first version and with each new batch produced we will raise the quality.

ORIGIN OF GUAYUSA POWDER

The powder comes from the same region as our PURE Guayusa tea. It is also made by the municipality of WINAK. Exclusively for us, as we were the first to request such a product. The region is called Napo and is located in the Amazon region of Ecuador. PROCESSING OF THE GUAYUSA POWDER

The processing is true manual work. We were surprised ourselves when we went to the control and saw how our powder is made.
The basic process of drying and crushing is identical to our PURE Guayusa. However, after crushing, all of the guayusa is sieved.
In order to make the work easier and to improve the quality, we then contacted the GIZ and asked for support for an electric grinder. The application is ongoing and has already been classified as probable. So we are looking forward to the next delivery or the one after that, which will not only be faster, but will also be of even higher quality.

USE AND PREPARATION OF GUAYUSA POWDER

MOCHA

A mocha is an Italian espresso "machine" that works in a simple but ingenious way. The construction starts with the water container at the bottom, in which a container with a sieve for the coffee powder or in our case the guayusa powder comes. (Of course it also works with our Guayusa coffee). A collection container is now screwed onto this lower area. The mocha is on the stove. This heats the water, which steams up through the sieve into the collection container, where it condenses again.

The preparation with a mocha makes the Guayusa experience even more intense. Both in taste and in effect. Due to the enormous heat of the steam, the mocha reveals the few bitter substances of guayusa. For this reason, the prepared Guayusa tea is particularly good as an espresso shot or with a dash of oat milk / milk!

FRENCH PRESS

The French Press also offers a great way to use the powder. Because the surface of the Guayusa powder is significantly higher than that of our normal tea, you need significantly less.

FILTERS RESPECTIVELY DRIPPER

Former filter, now dripper. A simple but not quite as quick preparation is the filter method. Our Dripper is of course particularly suitable for this, because it has a reusable stainless steel sieve with a double filter membrane. It saves you the paper filter and protects the environment. So that the hot water can drip through enough powder, we recommend using approx. 20g. You can use the whole thing several times, because the first time you run through the water, not all flavors and active ingredients have been washed out.

COFFEE MACHINE

If you have your own coffee machine, maybe even with a filter holder, you can use our powder here too. We do not recommend using as much powder as you would with coffee, as our powder is finer and will clog the machine.

GUAYUSA POWDER IN SMOOTHIES AND PASTRY

Not only are we total Guayusa freaks, we also love smoothies and treats. A teaspoon of our powder will make your smoothie run away from energy and get you feeling sharp and focused throughout the day.

As a little extra kick, you can also add some guayusa powder to homemade energy bars that you make for sport or work, giving you an extra kick.
