Ginger from the rainforest
Our ginger comes from small gardens and chakras belonging to Indigenous Kichwa people in Ecuador.
This Amazonian ginger is smaller but more intense in flavour and aroma than the variety known from Asia. It is both sweeter and spicier.

Health properties
GINGER-GUARD combines natural caffeine from Guayusa with ginger’s distinctive flavour. Caffeine can reduce tiredness and support your attention. The ginger note makes this a bold, spicy companion for starting your day.
Guayusa contains antioxidant polyphenols, including chlorogenic acids. The pungent compounds are a key characteristic of ginger; they create its warm, spicy sensation in the mouth. This brings two very different plants together in one cup – fresh, spicy and naturally caffeinated.
Drink the blend on its own or combine it with a little orange. For a milder brew, start with less tea. More spice does not mean more caffeine: flavour and the effect of caffeine can vary in intensity. Keep your personal caffeine sensitivity in mind.

Recipes and ideas
Add 1–2 teaspoons of tea to the infuser for 400 ml of water.
Pour boiling water directly into the infuser.
Steep for 5–10 minutes or longer. Remove the infuser and enjoy.
Use 1–2 teaspoons per 400 ml GUYA glass and leave to steep for about 5–10 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. The blend won’t turn bitter, so you can leave it in the water.
For an even stronger ginger flavour, you can add our Amazonian Ginger.
